Gale Batchelder, Founder and Principal, has over twenty-five years of experience as an executive recruiter for nonprofit and public sector organizations. She has led engagements for philanthropic, cultural, healthcare, social service, advocacy, disease research foundations, and international public health organizations. Gale has extensive experience working with boards of directors and with academic search committees, helping clients assess the emotional intelligence, leadership competence, and strategic fit of candidates with their institution’s challenges and aspirations.  She is an experienced executive coach, working with new and established leaders on professional development and job transitions.

Early in her career, Gale was a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor in social services agencies in the Boston area and at McLean Hospital, a Harvard teaching hospital.  Gale’s own leadership experience informs her work as a search consultant. She has consulted to health care organizations and arts organizations on fund raising and program planning initiatives.

Community leadership activities include serving as Board Chair of the Harvard Kennedy School New England Alumni Council; Chair and Strategic Planning Chair, Mystic Chorale, Inc.; Proposal Reviewer, Innovations in American Government (Harvard University/Ford Foundation); Treasurer, North End Union, Inc.; TV Producer, Boston Community Access and Programming Foundation; and Volunteer Tutor, Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School and Cambridge Community Learning Center.
